Selekta™ offers players a new manner of game operation designed to influence and extend game play, including a combination of prize payments and play methods throughout each feature game that have not been previously available.

Selekta™ is designed so that:
- Gaming machine Manufacturers maximise sales
- Gaming machine Operators maximise revenue
- Gaming machine Players maximise their entertainment value & enjoyment.

Central to the Selekta™ invention are its player popularity properties, to encourage customer loyalty.

Games designed in the manner of the Selekta™ patent application offer a base game with a feature free game phase.

The Feature Phase is triggered with a frequency that increases in direct proportion to the number of bought lines in a game play. This variable trigger frequency may be based on a "mystery" random process; it may be based on predefined symbol combinations occurring on a bought play line; or it may be a mix of the two.

Once a trigger occurs, a predetermined number of free game plays are automatically started. There are many ways to present the free games.

Prize payments during the Feature Phase can be determined by the final outcome of the last free game (END method), or by the outcome of each free game play (WAYG method).

The game "Crown Supreme", is a playable game illustrating one example of the Selekta™ method (US Patent Application Number 20080102928). Feel free to try our demonstration below, which displays the new triggering method for feature games; how the player influences frequency of each trigger, and the unusual play method of the free games using the WAYG (Win- As-You-Go) prize method.

Some elements of note with the Crown Supreme Selekta™ game are:

Player choice to Trigger feature games
All games that offer free game features depend on a "trigger" event occurring during play. When the "trigger" occurs, the games switch to a feature phase in which free games are automatically played. Crown Supreme allows players to control the frequency of a feature game by selecting play line options in the base game.
Traditional games with a free game feature activate the feature at a set rate so that the chance of the feature appearing remains the same per game played. How a game is played has no effect on how frequently this "trigger" event occurs. For example, If 1 line is played, the trigger event will occur once, say, every 100 games. If 20 lines are played, the trigger event will still occur once every 100 games.
The Selekta™ method changes this. The player's selection has a direct effect on the "trigger" frequency per game played. If 1 line is played, the trigger effect will occur once, say, every 100 games, but if 20 lines are played, the trigger event will occur once every 5 games. If 20 lines are played in Crown Supreme, the Feature will trigger, on average, once every 17 games. The frequency of the free games feature using the Selekta™ method varies according to the way the game is played. The more play lines activated in a game, the more frequently the feature will appear.

Automatic symbol hold in Hold & Spin feature
Unlike existing free games which spin all reels during each game in the feature phase, the Crown Supreme game uses an automatic Hold of a reel on which a selected symbol appears. Only un-held reels are spun in subsequent game plays of the feature.
As a result, players can see their prize winning combinations build throughout the free game cycle.

Win-As-You-Go (WAYG) prize method
When any free game is played, a prize evaluation is made and paid if appropriate. Traditional gaming machines reset winning symbols after each feature game play.
However, the Crown Supreme feature games offer accumulating winning symbols - and therefore cascading prizes. For example, if a 3-of-a-kind occurs on the first free game, that 3-of-a-kind will be held in place and paid after each subsequent free game play - or if an improvement is made, the improved prize value is paid. Once a prize is won, that win (or any improvement), cascades through to the remaining free games.

The Crown Supreme Game has the following summary characteristics:
